Discover what this certification means and how it helps youth in need

Hallmark Youthcare is pleased to have achieved the ASAM certification for our substance use program. Our adolescent behavioral health specialists aim to show kids and teens a better path in life and help them make safe, healthy choices. Here’s more about how our ASAM-certified substance use program is making a difference.

What is the ASAM Certification?

ASAM, which stands for the American Society of Addiction Medicine, is a professional society of physicians and associated professionals dedicated to increasing access and improving the quality of addiction treatment. The ASAM criteria is a widely used and respected set of guidelines for assessment, treatment planning, and placement of individuals with substance use disorders.

Hallmark Youthcare uses the ASAM framework within the Stages of Change Model and the Seven Challenges Model. We identify addictive behaviors and their impacts on families, communities, and the individual, then re-evaluate those behaviors to find better approaches. This individualized, evidence-based method helps to foster accountability and self-correction, both of which our teen patients need for long-term success.

How Hallmark Youthcare’s ASAM-Certified Substance Use Program Can Help

Hallmark Youthcare specializes in adolescent behavioral health. We focus on the whole individual and offer an immersive, inpatient experience that treats the cause of substance use disorders, not just the symptoms.
